Overview
Within the HighTide platform, you are able to add tasks to records to organize your work and remind you of important steps you need to complete. In addition to adding tasks, you can attach files to tasks, allowing you to add another level of documentation for managing your records. Tasks can be added to the HighTide platform in two different ways, making it easier for you to manage your work.
Adding Tasks Through the Global Notes View
From the Home view, you will navigate to the Tasks Section of the HighTide platform. On this page, you will see all Tasks. This will allow you to search the tasks and you can also filter based on the status of the task.
You are able to search tasks and apply a filter at the same time to limit your search and quickly find your tasks.
From this view you can also Create Task.
Once you create the task you can then edit the task, where you can add Assignees, connections and files if you choose. Once you click Edit Task you may make any changes you wish but also select the assignee(s).
When adding a connection from the global view you will first choose the Record Type and then the specific record you wish to connect.
After adding the connection and assigning a user you will be able to see that information when viewing the Task.
The task will also now be available in the global view of Tasks and if it is Due within the current week it will show in that area.
Adding a Task from a Specific Record
You are also able to add tasks directly from a record. After navigating to the (Record Type) and selecting a record you would like to add a task to, you will navigate to the Task View.
After clicking Add Task, the side drawer will appear where you can enter the name, select a status, determine a due date, and add content. After adding relevant information, click Create.
After doing this, the Task will already be attached to the specific record you added it to and also available in the global Tasks view but you can also then add the assignee to the task as well.
Adding a File to a Task
To add a file to a task when you are viewing a task, click Add Files. After doing so you will have the ability to add various file types and then click Save, adding the file to the note.
Editing and Deleting Tasks
To edit or delete a task you will need to have the correct permissions. Contact your administrator to confirm your permissions. If you have the ability to delete or edit tasks you will navigate to the specific task. Once you are on the task you will see an Edit Task which will display the side drawer and allow you to edit the task.
After you click edit, you can make changes to the task, after doing so you will click Save, you can then add or remove connections to the tasks as well as files. Once done making all changes you will click Done.
To delete a task you will click on Delete Task. After clicking, you will be notified that this action cannot be undone and you must confirm the deletion.
