Overview
Throughout the HighTide platform, you will have the ability to attach files to records, notes, and tasks. This feature is important to maintain valuable information that is specific to the record, note, or task. The HighTide platform allows you to attach files from various sources.
- My Files - files that are stored locally on your computer
- Web Address - the ability to attach a specific web address for future reference
- Camera - enables users to take a photo to attach
- Google Drive - allows users to connect your organization's Google Drive account
- Dropbox - Allows users to connect a Dropbox account to upload files
- Shutterstock - allows users to connect a Shutterstock account to attach files
- Getty Images - allows users to connect a Getty Images account and attach files
- iStock - allows users to connect an iStock account to attach documents
- Unspash - allows the connection of an Unsplash account to attach
Attaching Files to Notes
When you add a note, you will enter a name for the note as well as relevant content and then click Create.
After clicking Create, you will navigate to the Note where you will have the ability to attach any files, such as a group photo from an event. By clicking on Add Files you will be presented with the available sources within HighTide. HighTide’s robust options allow flexibility in attaching files. For example, group photos from an event library can be linked as a Web Address or a Google Drive dedicated to the event. Once you have made your choice and attached the file, it will be linked to the note within HighTide.
You will then be able to view or delete a file by clicking on the ellipse. The ability to add and delete files attached to notes is based on your permissions. If you are unable to add or delete a file please contact your system administrator.
Attaching Files to Tasks
When you add a task, after you enter a name for the task, enter a status, due date, and relevant content, and then click Create.
After clicking Create, you will navigate to the Task you just created where you will have the ability to attach files, such as a PDF or Word document of a proposal submitted from an event. By clicking on Add Files you will be presented with the available types within HighTide.
You will then be able to view or delete a file by clicking on the ellipse. The ability to add and delete files attached to tasks is based on your permissions. If you are unable to add or delete a file, please contact your system administrator.
Attaching Files to a Record
If the record you are viewing has the ability to have files attached to it, you will see the Files view where you can add a file to the record.
After navigating to Files, you can add a file by clicking on Add Files. By clicking on Add Files, you will be presented with the available sources within the HighTide platform. After attaching the file it will be stored on that record.
You will then be able to view or delete a file by clicking on the ellipse. The ability to add and delete files attached to tasks is based on your permissions. If you are unable to add or delete a file, please contact your system administrator.
