Overview
Record Type Connectors are crucial in connecting records of the same or different Record Types together in order to track the information that is important to your organization. With the ability to structure your data in any way you want, the reporting possibilities are endless.
Accessing Record Type Connectors
Please make sure that you have the proper permissions to access the Record Type Configurations. If you don’t have access, reach out to your Administrator.
To access Record Type Connectors, you can navigate to
CRM Builder > (Record Type) > Connections
Viewing Current Record Type Connectors
After selecting Connections you will see all connections for the Record Type you have selected. In addition you will be able to see the name of each connection as well as the Connector Record Type. For example, Employment connections has a connector of Person to Organization.
Adding New Record Type Connectors
Within the HighTide platform, users with proper permissions will have the ability to add additional connectors within the CRM Builder. This allows the organization to be nimble and track new data as needs and priorities change.
Adding New Record Type Connectors
Navigate to the CRM Builder HighTide platform and choose the Record Type you wish to add a connection to.
Click on “Add Connection Connection”
Choosing the Associated Record Type simply means you are choosing which Record Type you wish to connect to the Record Type you’re currently configuring. You will name the connection. For example, within the Record Type of Contacts, you may want to connect the Organization Record Type as the Employer to a Contact.
Ordering Connections
Within the CRM Builder you can change the order of the connections by clicking on the Ordering Icon. After doing a side drawer will appear allowing you to drag and drop the order of the connections.
